Who we are
The Neema Foundation of Zanzibar (NEEMA) is a non-governmental-organization (NGO) registered by the Registrar of Societies of Zanzibar, whose registration number is Z0000210824. NEEMA works for the benefit of human welfare and to bring positive changes to society. Its purpose is to enhance sustainable development in areas of social, economic and ethical aspects in Zanzibar. The main focus of our Organization is to support people who are in vulnerable conditions in areas of education, livelihood and economic development.
We started extending help to needy children, youth and women who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different areas to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many people as possible.
